BIOGRAPHY
Introducing the fierce and captivating sound of Denver’s own Jade the Nightmare, a trailblazing black alternative female vocalist who fearlessly ventures into the realms of heavy metal. With a voice that defies expectations and a spirit that embraces the unconventional, Nightmare pushes boundaries, challenging the status quo of the genre.
Unafraid to explore dark themes and societal issues, Nightmare fearlessly confronts the world's injustices through her music. Her songs become anthems of empowerment and rebellion, channeling the anger and frustration into a cathartic release. With each performance, she mesmerizes audiences with her commanding stage presence and undeniable charisma. She breaks barriers and creates a space for underrepresented voices in the genre, proving that diversity and authenticity are the keys to true artistic expression.
Her debut self produced album, Everything’s Corrupt, was released in March 2015 to critical acclaim, being one of Nightmare's first projects to receive media attention. She released later projects such as Death Delight (2016) showcasing her signature sound titled goth hop. Then, Evanescent (2016) and Suffer (2018) to further critical praise. She signed with Unforgiven Records in 2016 at the age 15. Later she released Process of Atonement (2016) being her first E.P. which challenged general hip-hop standards by fusing gothic rock with underground rap. From that point on she has transitioned into more progressive and alternative styles that tackle topics such as occultism, spirituality, and euphoria. The 2020 album Psychotopia (2020) carries the torch of this journey as it continues to build upon the foundation of dark rap and alternative undertones. Her most recent solo album Gothferatu (2021) features producers such as Wicked Sick and Jacob Lizotte.
She currently works independently and plans to one-day find a complete band that can capture her specific music style.
